Adapters

Write once, export to each tool

An adapter reads a sealed OpenAWF workflow and writes the native format of an agent harness, SDK or diagram tool. Any tool can implement an adapter. Each card names the tool that builds it.

Claude Code available

A Claude Code plugin. A skill orchestrates the workflow from an orchestration table, and each task gets its own file.

The adapter contract

  • An adapter reads sealed documents only. An unsealed document has no identity to carry.
  • The export is generated output. A change is made in a new draft of the workflow, then sealed and exported again.
  • A runtime adapter stamps every artifact a task produces with the workflow's identity proposed, so output traces back to the sealed document.

Claude Code export

The skill holds the orchestration as a table. Claude starts at the start task, follows each task's file, and takes the row that matches the outcome the task reports.
